Zac Efron Gets Kevin Bacon's Blessing For Footloose Remake

Kevin Bacon has given Zac Efron his blessing to play the lead in a remake of the classic 80s movie Footloose.

The Wild Things actor was quizzed about the Disney star taking over his role at the premiere of new flick Frost/Nixon.

Kevin told The Sun, “I think it’s a great idea. He’s a great choice. He’s very talented.

“I met Zac briefly at an event similar to this and we talked...only briefly...but he seemed like a really nice kid and I really do wish him all the best with it.”

Earlier this year Zac spoke highly of the Footloose star, telling Access Hollywood, “Kevin is so talented. He made such an iconic film.

“I don’t think I could ever recreate that, but, then again, that’s not really what we’re setting out to do.”
