Britney Spears Won't Be Joining Madonna Live On Tour

Britney Spears will not be joining Madonna on her upcoming world tour as reports have been suggesting.

The troubled singer was rumoured to make a live stage performance with the pop superstar on her Sticky & Sweet tour in a bid to help her resurrect her own singing career.

But while Spears will appear with Madonna in a short video that will be broadcast on big screens during the show, she will not be taking to the stage with the Material Girl hitmaker, reports the New York Daily News.

The tour is set to kick off on 23 August in Wales.

The pair last shared the stage during their 2003 performance at the MTV Music Awards, when they stunned fans by sharing a passionate kiss.

Spears is also rumoured to be working with producers Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins and her ex-boyfriend J.R. Rotem on her own comeback album, the follow-up to Blackout, which was released in October.
