Cheryl Tweedy Turns Down X Factor Judge Job

Will Mel B do it instead?

Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy has turned down an offer to replace Louis Walsh on hit show X Factor.

The popstar was wanted by svengali Simon Cowell to fit the ex-Westlife manager's shoes - but the singer, married to soccer star Ashley Cole, has knocked the opportunity back.

An ITV source tells the News Of The World, "Cheryl is totally bonkers. We don't know what planet she's on. Being the sexy female judge would have opened so many doors for her because Simon is the man with the Midas touch.

"There was even the possibility that she could do shows in the States using Simon's contacts."

According to speculation, the job will now go could to Mel B - as it sounds like the Spice Girls are never getting back together.
