A report published in this week's National Enquirer has made the shocking claim that Britney Spears tried to kill herself twice over the weekend.

According to the article, Spears was terrified that she would lose custody of her children. Indeed today it was reported that Kevin Federline is threatening to take her to court over their two kids.

She is said to have tried walking in front of traffic, only to be rescued by a member of her staff.

"After she shaved off her hair, Britney had a complete breakdown and tried to kill herself" said the Enquirer's source.

A short time after the traffic incident Britney Spears was then rushed to hospital, after allegedly taking too many Xanax tablets in another attempt to take her own life.

Clearly the saga of Britney will be continuing for a while longer, though we hope the end is a happy one.

what is up with britney trying to take her own life.She shouldn’t do anything like that bcuz of her kids. If she wants custody of them she should stop doing what she does.

Ah thats awful, i cant believe she would want to end her life, she has two kids and needs to be their role model, i know times are tough but she’s got to pull herself together with the help of rehab etc. Its worrying tht she is suffering so much, my heart goes out to her.

i think that ahole ’k fed’ should back off and let britts sort herself out,he was no good for her when they were wed,now hes got her cash he wants her babies 2! i feel for her but beleive she would do herself a favour if she snapped out of it and try and get herself strong again,then she would have the backbone to deal with that parasite! so chin up Britney!

in my opinion britney should loss custody of her kids. there is a fine line in partying and being a mother. and i think britney is better at partyung. what are her kids gonna say when they see their mom on t.v. wearing no panties. thats just discussting britney should know better than that. i can tell you one thing shes no ones role model and if some one is stupid enough to think of her as her or his role model than they deserve whats gonna happento them in the future. i feel sorry for them and
