Gwen Stefani has become one of the first celebrities to speak up in support of troubled star Britney Spears.

Speaking to the Mirror, the ex-No Doubt singer said she feared for her Beverley Hills neighbour.

?I just want to scoop her up and give her a kiss? said Stefani, adding ?I hope she?s all right. She?s just had a new baby and stuff. I hope she can just enjoy it because it?s an incredible thing.?

Gwen also stepped into the recent controversy surrounding Britney?s new hairstyle (or lack of), by claiming ?She looks good with her hair shaved off.?

I think her hair looks good too. When every move, and hair colour or wardrobe change, she makes is tracked and commented upon, it’s no wonder she cut it off. Ya, big deal! You know- women change their hairstyles, and get tattoos all the time with no repercussions. It’s the 21st century. She’s been ripped on so much by the media- claiming she’s too pure/ too raunchy/ too talented/ not talented enough. Surprisingly she can pull off the shaved head. It’s obvious that she needs help, for the sake of her children, and herself. I’m not a Britney fan, I find the situation funny at times, but I do hope she gets better.
