Christina Ricci Apologises For Wearing Fur

azziActress Christina Ricci has apoligised for offending her fans after she was pictured on the front cover of W magazine wearing lots of fur.

In wearing the dead animals Ricci managed to offend PETA, who speedily placed her on their worst dressed list and legions of fans who promptly shut down one of her longest running fan sites christinaricci.info; the site said it was closing down "due to fur usage".

According to ContactMusic, the editor of the site said: "I recently found out Christina doesn't appear to have a problem wearing fur. Well, I do. I also have a problem with people who wear fur. Conclusion: I have a problem with Christina."

Ricci has apologised profusely for her mistake saying in an email to PETA: "I never meant to hurt nor anger anyone with my insensitivity. For what it is worth, I have received the message loud and clear and will not be wearing fur in the future. I apologize for my offensive actions."

Now, if only J.Lo and Beyonce were so humble?

I feel bad for Christina and as a fur-hater, I accept her apology. I think she’s actually quite cool and very talented and she simply didn’t know about fur, it was a mistake. She has a heart and is intelligent, unlike Lopez and Knowles - they’ll always be tacky and cheap.

Good for her! Here’s hoping she gets her fans back, and yes, it would be nice if J. Lo and Beyonce would stop too...everything on Beyonce is fake anyway, why not fake fur too? But you can’t convince them that they are not Queen of the World, so I don’t see it happening.

Thank you Christina for your compassionate decision! People like J.Lo, Beyonce and Mary J. Blige are so insensitive to the fact that animals are kept in crammed, wire mesh cages, only to be later stomped on, injected with pesticides, anally/genitally electrocuted, and even skinned alive for fur. I think you are a very cool person for hating fur! God bless you and your family for not loving it. I myself am a huge protester of fur and animal cruelty, i adore Mother Nature and i think that celebs (those who wear fur) are ugly people. i love fur on animals, not on humans, not on floors, not on walls, on animals them selves! Thank you. x
