Sting: Modern Music Is Rubbish

Sting has branded modern rock music ?stagnant? and says that he prefers listening to 16th Century English ballads.

Sting, who?s recent album of Dowland lute music top the classical charts, is currently indulging in the music of composer John Dowland rather than anything recently released.

The former Police front man told German newspaper Die Zeit: "Rock music has come to a standstill - it's not going forward any more, it only bores me."
