Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty is currently being watched by a security guard at a rehabilitation clinic after he attacked a nurse.

Doherty is currently undergoing much needed treatment at the Priory Clinic near London after being arrested for the possession of drugs.

On Sunday he caused chaos at the establishment when he punched a male nurse in the chest before trashing his room.

A friend of Doherty?s told the Mirror: "Pete flipped out because he doesn't want to be there and wants to get out. A nurse was trying to encourage him to get more involved in the therapy sessions when Pete suddenly went berserk.

"He started kicking the door and slamming the walls. As the nurse tried to restrain him he punched him in the chest. He was out of control.

"His behaviour was appalling. Pete's lucky that the nurse was not hurt."

Doherty has been ordered to stay at the Priory until he is sentenced for seven counts of drug [possession next month?what a silly boy.

  • Pete is most likely behaving in this manner because he is going through withdrawal. They should tie him down! At least, he should get the worst of the withdrawal over before he goes to prison on Sept, 4. They won’t put up with him trashing the prison! And if he attacks a prison guard, he may get murdered!

  • Pete’s mad because the Dirty Pretty Things CD is getting good reviews in the States. Hey Petey, no one WANTS to be in rehab, so just chill and enjoy the lime jello. Pretend you’re in Ibiza with Kate and if you get clean, you someday may be. When they let you out of prison. WASTER!!! Write a song!

  • i saw him in a mag the other day n he scrubs up quite nicely! I hope he can sort himself out I just feel sorry for him! not keen on his music anyway but he should concentrate on that despite it being really hard! x

  • withdrawals big time,here is another reason pete makes the skin crawl, kids. I always made sure child support was never late, I fought for any extra seconds I could have with my kid. paid 15k so lawyers could play grab ass in court, won custody. does this mean i’m a good guy? no, it doesn’t. this is what any normal father would do for their child. next time you ponder why there are so many f**k up people in the world, go no further, than pete doherty, self centered, non father of the world.
