Heidi Klum And Elle McPherson Battle Over Being The Body

Supermodel?s Elle McPherson and Heidi Klum are currently at war over who owns ?the Body?.

Aussie model Elle has used the term ?The Body? as a means to promote her empire; she is said to upset that Heidi is now calling herself and her new bra ?The Body?.

German model Heidi launched her new product last week in partner ship with Victoria?s Secrets and on US commercials Heidi is heard saying: ?They call me ?The Body? and now I have a bra named after me.?

A spokeswoman for Elle?s lingerie range, Melissa Edwards expressed her shock at Heidi using the term.

She said: ?We saw that and were like ?Oh my god!?, we were initially flabbergasted.

?We have numerous press clippings in the office referring to Elle as ?The Body. Everything from Harpers Bazaar to Vogue to the recent Sport?s Illustrated calls her that. In terms of public record, that name belongs to Elle.?

However, Ed Razek, creative director of lingerie firm ?Victoria?s Secret said to the Mirror: ?We have press clippings and newscaster reports for nearly 10 years calling Heidi The Body. Who are we to argue with the media?

?There was The Body before Elle and there will be one after Heidi. Brigitte Bardot, Ursula Andress and Gisele Bundchen come to mind.?

Whether or not either of these women will step down from a challenge is anyone?s guess?
