Trump said the following when asked by Howard about whether he was in favor of invading Iraq (You can listen here to his words.):
“Yeah, I guess so,”
Hmmm. I don’t know what to think. I was like Trump fully in support of invading Iraq. So perhaps his judgment about foreign policy isn’t so bad. But what confuses me is why he repeatedly says the things he’s currently saying about the decision to invade Iraq.
He is not saying that he made a mistake in 2002. Ok, that’s fine. Maybe it wasn’t a mistake to invade Iraq even if he thinks that if he knew then what he knows now he wouldn’t support an invasion. But why is he making it out that he never supported an invasion?
Is he just playing a political game? That’s exactly what the media would love for you to believe, or so he would argue.
I’m sure many of the Howard Stern listeners are supporters of Trump. (Full disclosure: I am a big fan of Howard Stern, and I was a long-time listener, until he left for SiriusXM radio). So they must be aware of what Trump’s views on the Iraq war were.
Has he forgotten what he said? If his memory is going that seriously worries me. I know that Hillary’s health isn’t great. But I think someone who can’t remember is more of a health issue than a person who has whatever health problems Hillary might have.
The fact that Donald has forgotten his stance on such an important position points to dementia. It must be dementia, because he’s attacking others with such vehemence for a position that he once held. Any one else for a different diagnosis of why he’s attacking others for what he once supported?
