The Wanted’ Nathan Sykes Almost Walked Out Of TV Series ‘The Wanted Life’ After Falling Sick

The Wanted’ Nathan Sykes has revealed he almost quit the boy band’s upcoming E! reality TV series ‘The Wanted Life’ after falling sick during the show’s filming in Los Angeles earlier this year.

The baby of the band recently underwent critical surgery on his throat to repair a haemorrhaging vocal chord which left the singe out of action for month as the rest of the boys continued to promote their new single ‘Walks Like Rihanna’ which was released in the UK this week.

The ‘Glad You Came’ were re united as a five piece at this year’s Capital FM Summertime Ball earlier this month but the 19-year-old has admitted that he is still yet to fully recover from the operation.

But thankfully it looks as though the teen star is on the road to a full recovery but during the filming of the group’s upcoming US reality show Nathan insisted he almost couldn’t cope with the show coming close to quitting the series to return home to the UK to surround himself with some British home comforts.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper the the pop star explained: “”I was really, really close to quitting and going home at one point. It was just too much. Everywhere I looked there was a camera, and I wasn’t sure if I could deal with it. I was ill and shut away in my room and just wanted to leave. I got really, really homesick.”

The Wanted’s new series ‘The Wanted Life’ managed to grab over 1.7 million viewers in the States when it premièred in America earlier this month.

Meanwhile the band have been boasting about their party antics during the filming of the hit US TV show including Max George almost drowning at a hot tub party in a drunken slumber and racking up over £10,000 worth of damages in their LA mansion.

The group’s new single ‘Walks Like Rihanna’ was released in the UK this week storming to number two on Britain’s iTunes chart just hours after it’s release yesterday.
