Tyga, Kylie Jenner’s rapper boyfriend, is in trouble after a model/singer has released a statement saying that the rapper approached her online and tried to Facetime her. Tyga claims it was all strictly professional and he was merely acting as a scout to potentially sign her for her talent, as he does own his own record label. There are two possibilities here – Molly saw a chance to have her name splashed everywhere and decided to go for it, or Tyga (who is known for dating young as Kylie just turned 18) was really creepin’ around on instagram for young chicks. Molly said in her statement:
“I knew who he was but I was surprised that he was contacting me. I thought that it could possibly be about my music, but he did not mention that in his initial communication with me. I thought that was strange, but I was thinking he would bring that up in his next message to me. However, he didn’t mention it in the next message… He asked me to FaceTime three times, but I did not do it. Because of my discomfort with why he wanted to communicate with me I quickly stopped responding to him. It’s crazy how so much can come out of nothing…. I don’t want what happened to me to happen to any other young girl.”
However, Tyga’s camp are saying that the conversation was totally PG and the rapper was just looking into her talent for a Last Kings Records project. He also wanted to Facetime her while he sat down with his producers in the studio – it was all strictly professional.
What do we think of this – is Molly out for a quick shot at fame, or is Tyga genuinely chatting up 14-year-olds?
