This video will silence anyone who says nurses don’t care
We’re always hearing horror stories about nurses treating their patients with a lack of care, but despite their bad rep a recent video posted online is all the proof you need to know there are still nurses out there who care heaps for their patients.
The video was posted last week on Facebook and the love shown online for the nurse is almost as great as that she shows for her recovered patient.
The story was posted by Texas mum, Becky Miller, who wrote: “Our daughter, Bailey, had complete paralysis from the waist down for 11 days with no explanation as to why. This video is one of her favorite nurses coming onto her shift and not knowing that Bailey had started walking this day.”
Upon seeing Bailey fully recovered and walking again, the nurse bursts into tears, screaming, “Thank you, Lord.” The overwhelmed nurse, whose tears prompt Becky to also release the water works, then tells the teen that she has been praying for her everyday.
Miller said Bailey had no feeling or movement in her legs the day before. Doctors didn’t know, and are still uncertain, what caused the youngster to sporadically lose the feeling in her legs.
Commenters on Reddit immediately praised the nurse, and all nurses that devote their time to looking after patients, which involves putting long hours in on a daily basis. “Nurses are great people,” one commenter wrote. “You’d have to be humanitarian to be a nurse.”
“That is the reaction of a woman who has given too much, for too few victories. Bless our health workers,” the top comment on the video, also posted to YouTube, reads.
The video, titled ‘Love our nurses’ has already been viewed over 3.5 million times and counting.
