The Big Reunion ‘Will Return In September’

Fans of ITV2 show The Big Reunion are in for a treat – more long-interred pop idols are set to be unearthed for a second coming when the show returns to our screens later this year.

During its first run viewers consistently tuned in to watch former pin-ups 5ive, B*witched, Liberty X, Atomic Kitten and Honeyz set their differences aside and rehearse ahead of a one-off live show at the Hammersmith Apollo in London.

Following that success a second series has been commissioned, with producers their next batch of talent can replicate the drama that unfolded when The Big Reunion launched back in January.

“The confirmed date for series two is September,” an insider told the Daily Star. “It was so popular with viewers – so we’re expecting big ratings. There was plenty of drama.”

A host of nineties and noughties pop stars have been linked to the new series, amongst them Big Brovaz, S Club 7, All Saints, East 17, Eternal and Hear’Say – who will reportedly appear without Kym Marsh, who is currently committed to her role on Coronation Street.

Meanwhile, girl-group Honeyz have admitted that appearing on the show helped kickstart their flagging careers – with their comeback single set to be released later this year.

“We’ve got a single that we absolutely love,” band-member Mariama told the Daily Star. “And I don’t always say that. We’re so excited – it’ll be out in the autumn.”
