Stevie Wonder Follows Charlie Sheen’s Footsteps And Donates 100K To Young Cancer Sufferer

Soul singer, Stevie Wonder, is the latest celebrity to donate huge sums of cash to charity.

TMZ has reported that Wonder has followed Charlie Sheen’s generous side by giving $100,000 to a little girl battling cancer.

Charlie wrote a hefty cheque for $75,000 after hearing about 10 year old Jasmine, who is battling with Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer of the muscle tissue.

Last Saturday, Wonder took it another step higher and invited Jasmine Faulk and her father on stage while he was performing at the Nokia Theatre and presented her with the big cheque.

The musician performed his hit song ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ for Jasmine. The youngster returned his grand gesture by giving him a huge hug. How touching!

She then took the mic and yelled, “I love you Stevie!”

TMZ also reports, Jasmine’s dad is a Hermosa Beach police officer and is believed to have worked privately for Stevie since 1997.

A post on Jasmine’s blog jasminefaulk.com, thanked the 62 year old legend for his generosity and his wonderful gesture.

The online entry read, “She (Jasmine) attended Stevie Wonder’s 17th Annual House Full of Toys Concert that her daddy works as security and not only did she enjoy the show as always, she was a part of it! At one point during the show Stevie Wonder called her up on stage, told her story, and sang her favourite song of his, ‘ISN’T SHE LOVELY’. He then ended by so kindly giving her foundation an incredible donation!!! (sic)”.
