Sorry Suki Waterhouse! Jennifer Lawrence And Bradley Cooper Share Passionate Kiss In ‘Serena’ Trailer (WATCH)
Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper sure do make one hot on-screen duo but their chemistry has never been more palpable than in the trailer for their upcoming movie, Serena, in which they share a passionate, steamy kiss.
In the Susanne Bier-directed depression-era romance drama, Bradley and Jennifer, who have also appeared together in Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, star as George and Serena Pemberton, newlyweds who are struggling to have a baby, prompting Serena to take drastic measures.
The trailer initially shows the couple still in the honeymoon phase of their marriage, barely able to keep their hands off each other and sharing a number of intimate moments together in very public places, but don’t be fooled because the wedded bliss doesn’t last for long and their world begins to crumble when Serena plots a murder revenge against George’s son from a previous marriage.
Yes, it’s that dramatic! The synopsis for the movie explains: “The film follows newlyweds George (Cooper) and Serena Pemberton (Lawrence) who travel from Boston to the mountains of North Carolina where they begin to build a timber empire in 1929. Serena soon shows herself to be the equal of any man: overseeing crews, hunting rattle-snakes, even saving a man’s life in the wilderness.
“Together, this king and queen rule their dominion, killing or vanquishing all who stand in the way of their ambitions. But when Serena learns that she can never bear a child, she sets out to murder the son George had before his marriage.”
And now, a brand new clip shows George taking Serena to their new timber estate for the first time where they share a passionate moment during which she tells him: “I never thought I’d find you, I never thought I’d find anyone. Really you have no idea,” before they enjoy a pretty intense kiss.
Serena, which is based on the 2008 Ron Rash book of the same name, will make its debut at the BFI London Film Festival which kicks off on October 8 and is set to hit UK cinemas on October 24, although it’s yet to receive a US release date.
