‘She Was Joking’: Britney Spears Will Not Bring Son Sean Preston On Stage At Las Vegas Shows

Britney Spears will not be bringing her son Sean Preston on stage with her during her Las Vegas concerts with a rep for the star claiming the singer was merely “joking” about the plans, after the youngster’s father Kevin Federline admitted he wasn’t thrilled about the idea.

The ‘Work Bitch’ singer announced last month that she will be kicking off her two-year residency at Vegas’ Planet Hollywood this coming December where she will perform hits from her extensive back catalogue in addition to tracks from her highly-anticipated eighth studio album, marking a comeback to pop after two years away.

When quizzed for further details about the residency a couple of weeks ago, Britney teased that fans can expect to see her eldest son, seven-year-old Sean Preston pop up on stage during at least one of the shows, telling Good Morning America: “Preston will probably be on stage but I think Jayden would have a hard time with it.”

Following some raised eyebrows over whether Sean Preston was old enough to be subjected to the intense spotlight, literally, Britney’s rep has told TMZ that the pop star was simply “joking” when asked if he’ll make an appearance at the shows.

This will no doubt come as a relief for Sean Preston’s father Kevin Federline who wasn’t too pleased to learn of Britney’s “joke” and stated he wasn’t comfortable with his son stepping out into the public eye at such a tender age.

“I mean we’ll see about that won’t we,” Kevin told TMZ last month. When pushed further on whether he’s okay with the idea, Kevin added: “Yeah if he was like 25-years-old.”

Kevin, who was married to the star for two years until 2006, also went on to add that he won’t be supporting Britney in person at the shows as it’s not exactly his idea of a fun night out.

“No, man it’s not my thing. When I’m in Vegas I’m at the craps table,” Kevin joked although he did say when quizzed on his thoughts about the residency: “I think it’s cool man.”
