Scarlett Johnasson’s curves are admired as much, if not more, than her impressive acting skills but that doesn’t mean she likes it.

The ‘Avengers Assemble’ actress has claimed that she hates being regarded as “a sex symbol” and actually prefers being able to adopt any character when in a film but feels that it’s hard to shrug off the label.

According to Showbiz Spy, the 27-year-old has said that she’s not a fan of being called “the sexiest woman alive”, as she explained: “There are so many wonderful women out there,  and they aren’t even actresses!”

Scarlett, who divorced Ryan Reynolds after a short marriage continued: “I don’t like being labelled as ‘the sexiest woman alive.’ As an actress  I prefer to maintain the anonymity.”

“I don’t talk about my private relationships anymore. I often read many things and don’t even recognize myself in what was written.

“I never wanted to be a sex symbol. I wanted to be a character actor. Those are the actors I often mostly admire.”

Explaining how she’s managed to acquire such a label, she said it’s not just limited to her, as she said: “I think women that are curvy can be pigeonholed in that bombshell thing.

“I never think of my characters that way. What can you do about it? “As I get older, I think I’m seeing more multifaceted roles. I’m past the ingénue phase, which I’m very thankful for but I’m happy it’s over.”
