Robert Pattinson Jokes About His ‘Drinking Problem’ While Filming The Rover
Robert Pattinson shot new movie The Rover in the Australia outback last January, in 50 degree heat. But according to co-star Guy Pearce, he “handled” the conditions pretty well, mainly because he was drunk.
The two actors are currently back in Oz together for the premiere of the movie at the Sydney Film Festival. At a photocall yesterday, Guy revealed Rob’s secret weapon to dealing with the heat.
“He drank more vodka than I advised him to drink,” Guy told the Associated Press.
Predicting the headlines, Rob joked: “This is going to be the only thing that comes out of this now. My “drinking problem’.”
Trying to backtrack, Pearce interjected: “There was no vodka.”

Rob headed down under earlier this week and admitted he was a huge fan of Australian cinema.
“I was trying to get into the Australian movies for a long time before this,” he confessed.
“I think it’s a really confident, vibrant industry – and vital.”
The movie had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last month, and R-Patz joked that he had enjoyed reading the mixed response from critics: “I’ve loved reading the reviews, saying that I’ve done a terrible Australian accent.”
For any critics out there, Rob’s character is actually from the US.
