REVIEW: Little Mix Salute Tour Hits London’s O2 Arena
Little Mix definitely broke the mould when they won the X Factor back in 2011, not only by being the first group to ever win the talent show, but also by managing to go on to have an extremely successful career worldwide, recently releasing their second album Salute.
The bubbly four piece have now hit the road with their first UK arena tour, named after their new album and they performed at London’s O2 arena last night. EntertainmentWise headed down to the infamous venue to see the girls in action.
As soon as the band’s hunky male dancers took to the stage, the sold-out crowd went wild and this excited mood continued throughout the entire evening, with Little Mix’s ‘Mixers’ singing and dancing along to each and every track.
Most of the setlist consisted of tracks from the group’s second LP, Salute, with the band also throwing in the much-loved DNA, Change Your Life, How Ya Doin’? and charity single Word Up, before then finishing with Wings – which obviously sent their army of fans crazy.
Despite not being so well known, album tracks such as About The Boy and A Different Beat still went down equally as well, with the ladies showing off their sassy sides and incredible vocals whilst managing to still move around the stage and perfect their choreography at the same time.
Their own material aside, the girls also performed a cover of Katy Perry’s Dark Horse and Jason Derulo’s Talk Dirty.
Not only was each and every track performed perfectly, but they also managed to show off their cheeky, down-to-earth personalities throughout the gig, with them all clearly being as close off stage as they are on.
Their BFF bonds, mixed in with their vocals and impressive dance moves and ‘girl power’ attitude – all in all, a fantastic evening! Well done ladies.
