Pregnant Duchess Of Cambridge May Still Make Malta Trip
Kensington Palace will wait until tomorrow (Sept 16) to confirm if Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge will be going on her first solo overseas visit to Malta. The trip was confirmed earlier this Summer, we’re guessing before the Duchess knew she was pregnant, because she’s once again suffering from severe morning sickness.
The ongoing illness, which saw her spend three nights in hospital when pregnant with Prince George back in 2012, has already seen her cancel a string of engagements. She’s being treated at Kensington Palace by doctors, but we find the possibility that she’ll be well enough to travel unlikely.
The Duchess was meant to spend two days, September 20 & 21st in the country to mark the 50th Independence Day of Malta. Kensington Palace have confirmed they’ll be waiting until the last minute before cancelling the trip.

They declined to comment on claims Prince Harry’s birthday celebrations were called off due to the Duchess’ condition and wouldn’t comment on how the royal privately marked his 30th birthday.
According to Vanity Fair the big plans were for a lavish meal, but that if Kate couldn’t come, it would be called off. Ellie Goulding was apparently overheard discussing it backstage at the Invictus Games closing ceremony, where she performed on Sunday night as was one of the lucky guests with an invite.
