PHOTO: Batman Vs Superman Set Under Construction As Kent Family Farm Is Built
Very little has been revealed about the planned Batman Vs Superman film which will see the Caped Crusader take on the Man of Steel.
But fans who are eagerly awaiting any news about the superhero stand-off were slightly put out of their misery today when unofficial photos from the set of the film were released.
Pap snaps taken in fields in Yorkville, Illinois show a completed farmhouse, barn and water tank with other houses being put together next to them.
Locals have suspected for a while this was being erected for the Batman Vs Superman movie, as Man of Steel was filmed there in 2011.
The farmhouse used in the movie, which was released last year, was torn down but crews left an adjacent barn standing.
However, is doesn’t appear that filming has started yet so no sign of Henry Cavill or Ben Affleck just yet!
Affleck has been signed up to play Batman in the movie alongside Cavill, who is reprising his role as Superman.
Warner Bros. has confirmed that cameras will begin rolling in the first half of next year and that the finished product – the sequel to Man of Steel – will be hitting cinemas on July 17, 2015.
There were mixed reviews when it was announced Ben Affleck would be stepping into Christian Bale’s shoes and taking on the role, with many saying he would not be a patch on Bale, who starred in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.
Bale has wished Affleck luck but said there was only one tip he needed to pass onto him – be able to go to the toilet while wearing the suit.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, he said: “The only thing I said to him is to make sure he can take a pi** without anyone having to help him because it’s a little bit humiliating – at least what I went through – when you have to have someone help you out of the costume in order to do that.”
