Outrage As Teenage Hunter Kendall Jones Poses With Dead Lion, Tiger, Elephant, More

Teenage hunting enthusiast Kendall Jones has sparked controversy after posting pictures of herself looking jubilant next to her big game killings.

The 19-year-old cheerleader is seen with a dead lion, tiger and elephant among others after killing them, and has become the subject of two major petitions as a result.

120,000 people have signed one already, which calls for her to be banned from sharing the pics. It reads: “For the sake of all animals, especially the animals in the African region… where hunters are going for fun just to kill an animal!”

Another wants her to be banned from hunting in Africa completely. “Kendall Jones is an American born hunter who has entered the continent and has been hunting African wildlife under the facade of conservation,” it says.

“She has publicly stated that she hopes to have a television show and she is using endangered and helpless African animals as a stepping to further her popularity on social media platforms.”

Kendall, however, argues that she is doing good: “Controlling the male lion population is important within large fenced areas like these,” she says. “Funds from a hunt like this goes partially to the government for permits but also to the farm owner as an incentive to keep and raise lions on their property.”
