One Direction Hit Back At Noel Gallagher: ‘You Expect Him To Be A Knob’

One Direction have hit back at Noel Gallagher after the former Oasis star slammed their music during a recent interview.

The boyband received a verbal blast from straight-talking Noel, who claimed he and former brit-pop-rival Damon Albarn told them to ‘f*** off’ after their performance at the Brit Awards earlier this year.

“Prancing up and down singing a Blondie song and getting an award for it,” he told Shortlist magazine. “Nice lads though they might be, f*** off. Which is exactly what we told them.”

He added: “It’s turning into the grand finale of The X Factor, which is exactly what Simon Cowell wants.”

Band-member Louis Tomliinson has since replied to Gallagher’s comments during a chat with GQ.

“At the end of the day you kind of want Noel Gallagher to be a knob,” he said. “You expect him to be a knob. That’s cool in a way.”

“He says s**t like that but that’s definitely what we would expect from someone like him. He’s predictable.”

Harry Styles also waded into the argument, adding: “It’s easy to have a pop at the kids from X Factor. Thing is, his kids are coming to our show.”
