Noel Gallagher Slams Miley Cyrus, Says She Has No Credibility in Hilarious Interview

‘Oasis’ band member Noel Gallagher has slammed Miley Cyrus is a hilarious new interview, claiming the singer has absolutely no credibility because all she does is try to shock her audience over and over. He thinks people like Miley, who just use their time in the spotlight to be provocative, are actually setting other female musicians back. He urges those who do this to just go and make some good music instead:

”I think there’s a trend, unfortunately, in the game, at the minute, of girls desperately trying to be provocative or desperately trying to – in inverted commas – ‘start the debate’ about some old sh*t or other. Because, really, they’re not very good. We have it in England regularly, and you have it in the States. I feel bad for ’em. It’s like, ‘Write a good song. Don’t make a provocative video – write a good f**king song.’ That’ll serve you better, I think … It’s a shame, because it puts all the other female artists back about f**king five years.”

Noel adds that artists like Miley have lost their credibility and he even labels her actions as “embarrassing”. He says that at least musicians like Adele make real music and don’t have gimmicks. He wishes Miley would just focus on music and not worry about trying to be controversial because it’s meaningless (the way he puts it is just perfect):

”Now, Adele and Emeli Sande – that music, to me, is like music for f**king grannies, but at least it’s got some kind of credibility. It’s just embarrassing. Be good. Don’t be outrageous. Anybody can be outrageous! I could go to the Rolling Stone office and sh*t on top of a boiled egg, right? And people would go, ‘Wow, f***ing hell, that’s outrageous!’ But is it any good? No, because, essentially, it’s just a sh*t on top of a boiled egg.”
