Noel Gallagher Mocks Liam’s ‘Oasis Tribute Act’ Performance

Noel Gallagher and Liam are still not on the best of terms…well they won’t be now as Noel has mocked his brother’s appearance at the London 2012 Closing Ceremony during an intimate London show last night (August 14).

The singer took to the stage at XFM’s Legends show at the Dingwalls in Camden to perform the Oasis song ‘Wonderwall’, which Liam had performed on the final night of the Olympics with Beady Eye.

Noel dedicated his own performance of ‘Wonderwall’ to “Stratford’s finest Oasis tribute band”.

The competition winner only gig saw Noel play an intimate acoustic set comprised mainly of Oasis tracks including ‘Talk Tonight’, ‘Whatever’, ‘Half the World Away’, ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ and old favourite ‘Spaceman’.

The singer also dedicated ‘Supersonic’ to “the great Mo Farah”, before launching into new tracks ‘What A Life’.

Liam’s Beady Eye have recently began performing classic Oasis hits as part of their current set after initially refusing to play them when the band first launched.

Noel has insisted that he is happy for Liam to perform the fan favourites as it means he receives royalties every time they are played at shows.

“Beady Eye have my permission to play my songs and they should do whatever they like,” Noel Gallagher is quoted by The Sun as saying.

“I say he should go around the world, do those songs and fill out the PRS (performing rights) forms.” No hard feelings then Noel?
