Nina Dobrev Bashes Hollywood – Says People Are “Disconnected”

‘Vampire Diaries’ actress Nina Dobrev has opened up on living in Hollywood. She admits that she only stays for her work and often finds that people are disconnected and it can be difficult to make friends because of this. She does admit the it has it’s good side because she loves the good weather and enjoys hanging out in Venice Beach where she can escape from the strangely disconnected bubble:

“It’s exciting because it’s so sunny and beautiful there, but at the same time there’s something a bit distant about Los Angeles. It’s hard to make good friends. Everyone’s in their car, with their sunglasses on, and disconnected. But Hollywood is work – then Venice by the beach is play.”

Speaking on a secret dream she would love to see come true, Nina reveals that she would love to be featured in a Burberry campaign but she couldn’t see it happening:

“I’ve always dreamed of being a ‘Burberry Girl’, but I know it’ll never happen, because I’m not British. Still, you can’t stop a girl from dreaming. And owning way too many Burberry coats!”

Commenting on what she would do if she hadn’t had a breakthrough as an actress, Nina says that she probably would have opened a yoga studio because it’s something she still thinks about:

“I was a rhythmic and athletic gymnast for a little while. Then, when I quit gymnastics, I fell in love with yoga. So sometimes I think I’d like to open up a yoga studio.”
