Nicki Minaj, Ellen DeGeneres Send Congratulations To Ciara After Baby Announcement

Ciara is no doubt breathing a sigh of relief after finally announcing she is expecting her first child with fiance Future and as expected, the ‘Body Party’ singer has been flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and celebrity friends alike including Nicki Minaj and Ellen DeGeneres.

The 28-year-old made an appearance on The View yesterday happily cradling her baby bump for the first time in public as confirmation that she is pregnant with her first baby just a few months after announcing her engagement to music producer Future whom she has been dating since last year.

Leading the congratulatory messages via Twitter, Nicki Minaj, who collaborated with Ciara on ‘I’m Out’ last year, wrote: “Congrats @ciara and @1future!!!!!!”

Talk show host and comedienne Ellen DeGeneres chimed in: “I just found out @Ciara is pregnant! I also found out “mother” in Spanish is “madre.” Which makes your baby the treasure of the Ciara madre.”

The View co-host Jenny McCarthy seemed especially happy about the news, sharing a photo of herself with Ciara backstage at the show with the caption: “Congrats to my girl @ciara so happy for your bun in the oven.”
Ciara’s BFF La La Anthony also wrote: “Giggling! Happy! I was glued to the tv. Congrats my love!”

The R&B star has remained coy about the gender of her bundle of joy but says that while her prediction was wrong, beau Future, real name Nayvadius D. Wilburn, couldn’t be happier.

“It really is a blessing. It’s the most exciting time in my life. I’m really excited, like a little kid,” Ciara said in an interview with HuffPost Live yesterday.

“I did have a preference before I found out what it was…[the result] was different than what I thought, but my fiancé got what he wanted.”
