Move Over Jay Z! Drake Confirms Beyonce Collaboration For New Album
Drake may have revealed himself to have a crush on one of the biggest stars on the planet after confirming that he has collaborated with Beyonce for her new album while also gushing over the singer’s incredible talents.
The ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’ rapper released his third album ‘Nothing Was The Same’ this week and while he’s set to have a busy year with a tour coming up, Drake has been busy teaming up with some of his most famous peers and it looks as though Beyonce was on his hit list after working with her hubby Jay Z.
Gushing over the ‘Single Ladies’ queen, Drake told Ryan Seacrest: “I’m a Beyonce believer. I really believe strongly in her talent and her position in our generation. “I think she’s one of the biggest stars ever, but especially for these girls right now. I feel like they need Beyonce. I reached out to her and asked if I could come and be a part of her project, and she was kind enough to invite me out there.
“And we did some work together,” he added confirming the duet. With Drake’s album already released this week, it’s expected that the track will feature on Beyonce’s highly-anticipated and ever elusive upcoming fifth studio album.
Meanwhile, Drake explained the feel of his latest album which features a host of heart-warming ballads and raw lyrics which the rapper has become famed for so it’s no surprise that Drake admits it is one of his most “emotional” albums to date.
“It’s emotional, but I think I also found a balance in the production—as far as not to make it so down,” Drake told E! News.
“I feel like ‘Take Care’ had real ballads, real down moments, and I feel like on this album, I try to push everything together to make it strong. It’s great. It’s one of my favorite pieces. It’s concise. I’m really proud of the writing on there. And 40 [Noah Shebib] outworked me on the production, he’s amazing. It’s good, I’m excited.”
