Missing in Paris! Kanye West’s laptop ‘stolen’ before Kim Kardashian song leak
Turns out you can breathe a sigh of relief people, because it apparently the laptop of Kanye West, which allegedly lead to the leak of a new song and dirty video, was actually never stolen and never even left the Only One hitmaker’s side. Lucky, we were just about to send out a search party…
It was claimed that a TON of secret content from the rapper’s computer had been leaked, though it just so happens that not only are the rumours false, but the laptop never even left West’s sight. It was reported that Kanye’s gadget went missing while the 37-year-old, who recently had bags of air from his concert for sale on eBay, wrapped up his final concert series at the Foundation Louis Vuitton where he premiere the Steve McQueen-directed All Day video.
The laptop allegedly featured the track Awesome, which had been written by Kanye for his wife Kim Kardashian, though the true Kardashian fans out there will know that the song has already seen the light of day and was actually played during the couple’s wedding episode on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. It was claimed there was also a sex tape, which saw the couple engage in a threesome with another woman, on the laptop, though it’s nowhere to be seen and seems like an obvious rumour to fabricate given Kim’s past!
Malik Yusef, a Kanye collaborator and G.O.O.D Music artist first claimed that the laptop had been pinched on Twitter on yesterday. “We have the PRIVATE INVESTIGATION FIRMS ON TOP OF @kanyewest STOLEN LAPTOP!!!!!,” Yusef wrote. Though he later tweeted that the laptop had been recovered and everything was okay… phew! “As dar as I know @kanyewest laptop is safe & sound and not in the possession of @KanyeLaptop Lol! Thank y’all 4 bein ready 2 go 2 war 4 art!,” he added.
But it looks like Yuself just got the whole situation a tad confused, as Kanye’s rep has since denied that his computer was ever stolen. “The stories circulating that Kanye West’s laptop has been stolen are completely false,” West’s rep told Us Weekly. “His laptop has never been out of his possession. Hence, the laptop has not been hacked, and there has been no leak of personal data such as unreleased music, photographs, designs, videos or any other personal files. The leak today of the unreleased track ‘Awesome’ was unrelated and completely coincidental.”
The incident did ignite the emergence of a new Twitter account titled @KanyeLaptop though, which managed to garner over a thousand followers in the space of a day, so it wasn’t all bad news. Nevertheless, Kanye and his wife Kim seemed oblivious to what was going on as the duo enjoyed a cute day outside of the French capital. “Romantic day with my husband outside of Paris,” the mother-of-one captioned a gorgeous sunset photo on Instagram.
