Miley Cyrus Comments on Her “Dancing with Molly” Drug Lyric
Miley Cyrus equates growing up to doing drugs it seems. The singer sings about “dancing with Molly” in her “We Can’t Stop” single and she says that the lyric is all about being a grown up, even though it just means being off your face on Ecstasy. The lyric was edited on the radio version to be ‘dancing with Miley’ and she commented on the controversial words:
“It depends who’s doing what. If you’re aged ten it’s ‘Miley,’ if you know what I’m talking about then you know. I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they’ve already had to edit it so much.”
Speaking on growing up, Miley says it’s quite obvious that she has changed and she thinks people are cool with that now:
“I don’t think people have a hard time understanding that I’ve grown up. You can Google me and you know what I’m up to – you know what that lyric is saying.”
On her music and videos being censored by the public, Miley says it’s “lame” and thinks that it doesn’t really make sense on a grander scale:
“Then I’ll give you an edit. I just think the world is so lame because you can shoot people in a movie and you can let people like Zimmerman off on trial but you can’t have someone going like this (she stimulates oral sex gesture), that is so dumb to me.”
