Michelle Rodriguez Hints A Thelma And Louise Remake With Cara Delevingne Is In The Works

Back in February rumours went around that Michelle Rodriguez was planning on starring in a remake of cult movie Thelma and Louise with her girlfriend Cara Delevingne, and a two months on the actress has hinted the film could be going ahead.

The 1991 cult classic starred Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon in the lead roles (and Brad Pitt in his first memorable big screen appearance), but earlier this year sources suggested Fast & Furious star Michelle was interested in a remake.

“Michelle is heavily in demand to take the lead after her success in ‘The Fast And The Furious’,” a source revealed to The Sun in February, adding that Michelle wanted her model girlfriend, who has started to get a few acting roles under her belt, to co-star.

“A few names have been mentioned as her co-star, including Kristen Stewart, Annalynne McCord and Leighton Meester – but Michelle is pushing for Cara.”

“She thinks she would light up the big screen and that the pair of them would be a huge hit together,” they continued.

Last night Michelle seemed to suggest she was interested in a Thelma and Louise movie, or sorts when she asked her 695,000 Twitter followers:

“Guys I want your opinion, put on your producer cap for a second and tell me if your given a choice of film concepts for my first lead in 15 years since girlfight, and you have to choose between A Thelma and Louise vibe for the feature or a Bonnie and Clyde vibe for a feature what would you choose for me…”

After posting pics from both films, Michelle thanked her fans for their feedback, telling them:

“Guys it’s lookin. Pretty even Kiel on the Bonnie n Clyde vs Thelma and Louise concept, a lot of people are suggesting to mix the two conceptS”.
