Michael Douglas Claims He Got Throat Cancer From Giving Cunnilingus

File this one under “too much information”. Actor Michael Douglas, who has successfully overcome a battle with throat cancer has now claimed that he contracted the disease by giving Cunnilingus. He reveals that the cancer can come from HPV [human papillomavirus] which you can get from giving head. Michael commented on his cancer:

“No. Because without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV [human papillomavirus], which actually comes about from cunnilingus.”

He says that he believes his son being put in jail may have triggered the cancer because he was very stressed out during that time. He than jokes that the cause can also be the cure (pause for Catherine Zeta-Jones to make a grimace face):

“I did worry if the stress caused by my son’s incarceration didn’t help trigger it. But yeah, it’s a sexually transmitted disease that causes cancer. And if you have it, cunnilingus is also the best cure for it.”

His agent later claimed that Michael didn’t say what he said exactly (hmmm…tough one to prove):

“Michael Douglas did not say cunnilingus was the cause of his cancer. It was discussed that oral sex is a suspected cause of certain oral cancers as doctor’s in the article point out but he did not say it was the specific cause of his personal cancer.”
