Kim Kardashian and Kanye West make Time’s Influential list

They have eyes fixated on them the world over, but Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are officially two of the most influential people in the world, according to Time magazine and we reckon Kanye would definitely agree.

More than just your box standard power couple, the publication has included both of them individually as “Titans” and has even put Kanye, 37, on one of five special covers for the Thursday April 16 issue.

Dubbed “the first lady of #fame,” by Martha Stewart, the writer and TV personality goes on to add that Kim is “beautiful in an exotic, totally exaggerated way.” She goes on to add that the media phenomenon is a woman who “exudes energy, sexuality, drama, determination, impetuousness and happiness.” Stewart, president of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, even goes on to praise the star and her unique family.

“The Kardashians are a totally modern construct. They are a blended family, of Armenian descent, with biracial pairings (Kim is married to Kanye West) and a reportedly transgender parent. They work hard, and they stick together through thick and thin,” she writes. “Are they indeed today’s Brady Brunch?”

But that’s just the start of it, as Kim’s hubby Kanye West leads the list of “Titans” with the publication labeling the outspoken rapper as a “boundary breaker.” Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla, was chosen to credit the 37-year-old and he wasted no time in doing what Kanye does best, bigging himself up. “Kanye West would be the first person to tell you he belongs on this list. The dude doesn’t believe in false modesty, and he shouldn’t.

“Kanye’s been playing the long game all along, and we’re only just beginning to see why,” he writes, as well as praising the All Day hit maker for standing up for what he believes in, even if he does mean being ridiculed by, well, everyone. The news might come as a bit of a sting to fellow power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z, especially since the 99 Problems star is hoping to revolutionize the music world with his new streaming site, Tidal.

Sorry guys, it looks like it’s Kimye’s time now, and nobody thinks so more than Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing. After making the couple the face of his latest campaign, the designer told InStyle magazine: ” When I was young, I never had a reference of a mixed-ethnicity couple. Today they are among the most talked-about people, and North is one of the most beautiful babies on the planet. They represent a family for the new world.”

In other words, it’s Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s world… and we’re just living in it.
