Kate Moss, Madonna And Rihanna At Costume Institute Gala: Fashion Forward Or Fancy Dress?
Kate Moss led the celebrity arrivals at Sunday night’s Costume Institute Gala ‘Model as Muse’ event, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The British model – who co-hosted the night – made quite an entrance as she arrived in a futuristic silver toga and matching turban, clutching on to designer Marc Jacobs.
The effect may have been stunning were it not for the blotchy bronze glow and her general party-ravaged appearance.
Also turning heads but not necessarily for the right reasons was Madonna, who attempted to upstage her younger competition in a mini ruffle dress, thigh-length PVC boots and two blue satin prongs sticking out from either side of her head.
During an evening of bare backs and bronzer overload (see also Jessica Biel, Ed Westwick), those who got it right on the night included Kate Hudson, Victoria Beckham, and Rihanna who looked fabulous in a big-shouldered black statement suit.
