Kate Middleton, Duchess Of Cambridge ‘Slammed For Glamorous Pregnancy’

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge has certainly been looking stylish during her pregnancy but it appears not everyone’s a fan as the royal has been attacked by an expert for putting pressure on other expectant mothers to look good.

According to the new poll, carried out by Philips Avent according to The Daily Star, out of 1000 women 71% felt yummy mummies like Kate and the likes of Kim Kardashian and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas set the bar too high when it comes to dressing their baby bumps.

However it doesn’t appear that Kate’s designer maternity wear has affected her popularity too much with around half the women asked admitting they would consider naming their child after the royal baby.

The Duchess, who was named Vanity Fair’s Best Dressed Pregnant Star, has been a trend setter since she joined the royal family and her maternity choices have been no different. Mixing bespoke pieces with high street favourites the 31 year-old has certainly been impressing with her elegant and flattering choices.

A polka dot Topshop dress which she wore on a tour of the Harry Potter studios sold out within 30 minutes of her appearance in it, while other items the Duchess has opted for have also gone down a storm with fellow mothers to be.

Praising her look, maternity expert Rosie Pope told People magazine, her style was “incredibly chic”.

“Kate’s look is incredibly chic and rather retro,” she claimed, “Kate reminds me of Jackie Onassis when she was pregnant,” “She’s happy to show some leg with that 1960s vibe, but in general she covers up.”

The Duchess has just a few short weeks before her July due date and with her final appearance scheduled for June 13 we haven’t got long left to admire her maternity chic!
