Swoon! Jedward get their best smouldering faces on as they turn angelic for new album Free Spirit.

The LP, which is their fourth collection since they competed on The X Factor back in 2009, has been written and produced entirely by the double-act; real names John and Edward Grimes.

The title track serves as the lead single, and it’s out on May 17.

Edward explained: “Since October, we have been working on our album, we have had three albums to date, but this is the first album written and produced by us.”

John added: “Each song reflects a different mood and emotion, which our fans can associate with.

“Over the last year we have gone through a transition as artists, we have had time to reflect about life and put those thoughts into our songs.”

The boys have had huge success in their native Ireland, where their last album Young Love reached No1. They’ve also represented Ireland twice at the Eurovision Song Contest and competed in Celebrity Big Brother.

They made a brief comeback to The X Factor for the 2013 finale; with their backstage talking heard over Sam Bailey and Nicole Scherzinger’s duet due to a technical fault.
