Jason Donovan has finally revealed the truth behind his relationship with Kylie Minogue for Piers Morgan’s ‘Life Stories’…

Jason Donovan told Piers Morgan all about his romance with Aussie popstar Kylie minogue during an exposing and emotional ‘Life Stories’ interview.

And he revealed that it was Kylie who initiated the pair’s infamous relationship:

“She chased me and then I guess I gradually gave in… The next thing you know we were working and having this relationship.”

And he also revealed that the pair consummated their relationship in a Travelodge!

“We cemented it in a Sydney Travelodge. There were a number of promotional trips we would do each weekend and the Travelodge was the place…Travelodges in those days were posh places”

Sure they were.

Jason and Kylie were teenagers when they first met on the set of Neighbours in 1986, playing on-screen lovers Scott and Charlene. And romance soon began to sizzle off the cameras, adding a whole new dynamic to the pair and rocketing them into fame.

The pair began to hit the rocks when Kylie began to experience success as a solo artist and Jason admits he was jealous:

“I guess it is hard for a young man as you think you are the success story and the breadwinner, but then suddenly she is off on a different course. We did live together for a while and there was a lot of chemistry between us. This was the first time I had truly been in love with someone… That is a very powerful emotion to have, coupled with the fact that you are one of the most successful and talked-about couples in Australia, which was our backyard at the time. We argued a lot about her wanting to go off and do other things.”

But Kylie left Jason for INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, which hit Jason expecially hard… he’d actually introduced Kylie to Michael. Plus, being dumped over the phone always sucks. But, despite all that, he admits that he harbours no hard feelings towards his first love:

“For a male it’s a difficult thing to deal with to be dropped by a woman, but not only a woman but someone of her status. I took it hard. But what does not break you makes you stronger and I had an incredible network of people. She did try to explain to me once at a party at my house in Notting Hill… But you move on.”

Thank goodness for that! The gorgeous twosome are set to duet their number one hit ‘Especially For You’ for the first time in more than 10 years at a special 80s concert this summer.
