Ja Rule ‘Making Microwave Cookbook After Turning Expert In Prison’
Ja Rule is reportedly planning to write a microwave cookbook.
The rapper got out of prison in May and was forced to prepare his own gourmet style meals in the cooking device as he wasn’t satisfied with ordinary fare behind bars.
The 37-year-old served almost two years behind bars for tax evasion and attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
“He explained that while behind bars he learned to cook anything and everything in a microwave,” an insider told the New York Post’s Page Six.
He shared details about his project at the New York City Wine & Food Festival on Geoffrey Zakarian’s SiriusXM show Food Talk and was surrounded by high-profile chefs such as Guy Fieri, Bobby Flay and Marcus Samuelsson.

He has been discussing how much he hated the food in prison as he promotes new movie ‘I’m In Love With A Church Girl’ with Adrienne Bailon.
The star – whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins told TMZ: “[The food inside] is not too good but you get packages and stuff like that. You can eat pretty good. You can eat decent enough.
“I ate everything. In jail, they’re pretty crafty. We made lasagna, we made cheesecakes, we had lots of things. I really didn’t eat prison food.
“I didn’t go to the chow line too much. We usually just cooked in our dorm. Yeah, yeah, we cooked our own stuff. So what we made was pretty decent. It wasn’t bad.”
