‘I’m Sticking With Downton Abbey’: Michelle Dockery Has No Plans To Leave The Hit Show For Hollywood Right Now

Michelle Dockery may be busy promoting her work on new Liam Neeson-led thriller ‘Non-Stop’, but the actress has revealed she won’t be leaving her regular role on ‘Downton Abbey’ anytime soon.

The 32-year-old star, who plays Lady Mary in the much-loved drama, will continue to film episodes for however long she is wanted.

“I am sticking with the show for however long the producers want it to go,” she revealed in an interview on This Morning. “We don’t know how long it’s going to go on for. We’re on series five now.”

She added: “What’s great is that we have six months of the year to do other things in between so I am still here and whatever opportunities come up, then I will go with it.”

Oscar-nominee Lupita Nyong’o also stars alongside Dockery and Liam Neeson in the action movie. Speaking about her fellow co-stars, the Essex lass opened up about the surprise the cast threw for her.

“Lupita Nyong’o plays the other flight attendee and she organised for everyone to play kazoos on my birthday,” she explained. “It was my mum’s 60th birthday the other Sunday and my sister and I did 60 presents for her. For one of them, I wrapped up one of the kazoos that someone had used and said this could be Liam’s.

“I later told him this story and he sent her the one that he used with a signed photo which said, ‘Happy 60th. Welcome to the club.’ He said something ruder as well but I can’t really say.”

Non-Stop will hit UK cinemas on February 28.
