Iggy Azalea Blasts Nicki Minaj Fans Following Criticism Over ‘Fancy’ Success?

Iggy Azalea appears to have blasted some of Nicki Minaj’s fans on Twitter today after being bombarded with a stream of negative comments from “bullies” regarding the success of her latest single ‘Fancy.’

The 23-year-old scored her first ever US number one on the Billboard Hot 100 last week with ‘Fancy’, which features Charli XCX, and while her own fans have been nothing but supportive of her incredible achievement, Iggy has faced criticism from fans of other artists, most notably Nicki Minaj, who actually congratulated the Australian.

Hitting back at the comments, Iggy unleashed an epic Twitter rant earlier today, saying: “Just remember while your all at home online cracking jokes about artists etc that Most of you have done NOTHING. NOTHING! With your lives.

“Don’t flex someone else’s achievements. So many of you Internet kids quote the feats of others as if they were your own. And just to clarify for anyone who didn’t understand that last statement goes out to people who bully others.”

She continued: “Fan wars back and forth and all that s**t is all bulls**t. Someone who’s music you love doing great should never be an excuse to be awful to others. That’s my point I suppose.

“I just find it really disgusting. Don’t be cruel to one another. And learn to understand how much work it takes to achieve anything in life.

“Success should be celebrated and not used as an excuse to be awful to others, especially when it’s not even your own. That was my point. It was a positive but aggressive point. Lol. Anyway it’s my mans bday and I’m outtttt!”

Last week, Nicki phoned in to Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club to congratulate Iggy on her success, although she did take some credit for it.

“I think that congratulations is in order. Her single is doing really, really well and I think that’s a good thing. One thing I’m not is a hater,” Nicki said.

“If somebody is doing something and they did it well, and their song is charting well, then congratulations. I just want female rappers to understand that I’ve kicked in a lot of doors for them and I just would appreciate if they would acknowledge that.”

She added: “If somebody has a song that’s doing well, then I think that’s a great thing. I think that’s a great thing for women and we’re gonna keep it moving.”
