Iceland Stand By Stacey Solomon After Smoking Controversy
Supermarket chain Iceland have vowed to keep Stacey Solomon as their ambassador despite the controversy surrounding her smoking whilst pregnant.
The X Factor finalist and I’m A Celebrity winner’s predecessor Kerry Katona was axed by the retail giants in 2009 after she was caught taking cocaine.
Solomon has already been dropped from the ‘Celebrity Mum Of The Year’ competition over the incriminating photos, printed a tabloid over the weekend.
Iceland’s executive director Nick Canning told Retail Week: “Stacey has proved to be very popular with our customers over the last 18 months. We understand she deeply regrets the embarrassment she has caused with her recent actions but we are also aware that she has significantly reduced the number of cigarettes she smokes.
“Stacey tells us she is seeking medical advice to help her stop smoking and we remain fully supportive of her during this present time and going forward.”
Stacey released ‘Driving Home For Christmas’ as a charity single in association with Iceland in 2011.
