‘I Have No Girlfriends’: Doctor Who Star Matt Smith Reveals He’s Officially Split With Daisy Lowe?

Matt Smith and Daisy Lowe’s relationship has been on/off for a while now, but it seems like the couple may have finally called it a day, as the Doctor Who hunk admitted that he ‘doesn’t have any girlfriends.’

The actor, who appears on tonight’s The Jonathan Ross show, was asked by the talkshow host how many GF’s he had, to which he replied “None,” the Mirror reports.

Jonathan then suggested that the reason behind this was because he couldn’t find one, to which Matt then said “I can’t. Answers on the back of a postcard.”

Matt hinted romance on-screen with actress Jenna- Louise Coleman, 26, who plays sidekick Clara Oswald, was not on the menu, either.

When asked if he would “get jiggy” with Clara, he joked: “Well. We’ve snogged,” referring to a scene in last year’s Christmas episode.

But he added: “I think my Doctor is more asexual than the others. He finds the idea of people settling down bizarre.”

The actor also hinted a little at what’s to come in terms of Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary episode.

“I’ve got to be diplomatic… because if I give the whole game away I’ll be screwed,” Smith joked, adding: “The thing is with Who, you’ll understand this more when you’ve watched it.”

He then added: “Paintings. That’s all I’m saying.”

The 30-year-old went on to say that he is “very happy” on Doctor Who and confirmed that he will shoot a 2013 Christmas episode following the 50th 3D special.

“I go and I do the anniversary special, then I go away for a bit and then I come back and do the Christmas special,” he explained, adding: “It’s one of those jobs that you have to take year by year, it’s ten months a year, it’s all-consuming.”

“So I don’t think you can plan five or six years ahead, or even two years ahead. It’s a year by year thing and at the moment it’s 2013 and we’ll see what 2014 holds.”
