Honey Boo Boo Star Mama June Shannon Says She Burned Ex’s Belongings

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Mama June Shannon proved that theory last week when she kicked her off-and-on boyfriend, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, out of her home after she reportedly caught him talking to other women. After ridding her house of her ex, Mama June also decided to dispose of the belongings he left behind in a very interesting way.

“What he didn’t take, you know, we burned,” Mama June told Splash News Online in a video interview. “We had a burn party the other night!”

Mama June, who saw her family’s reality show cancelled by the TLC network after reports surfaced that she was dating a convicted sex offender, claims that the local police showed up to her “burn party,” but that she did not get in trouble, since all she torched were things that Sugar Bear didn’t want.

“It wasn’t pictures, it was just junk,” she told the site.

Mama June revealed that she and Sugar Bear, who is the father of her daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, have been approached to do a reality show that focuses on saving celebrity couples’ relationships (ahem, Couples Therapy, anyone?) but that Sugar Bear isn’t interested in doing it at this time.

“I was wantin’ to do it and he told me, you know, he would put his 100 percent in,” June said. “And I don’t think that’s [going to happen].”

Mama June blames Sugar Bear’s desire to be a bachelor for their most-recent split.

“That’s what he wanted, he wanted the single life,” she said. “You know, he could’ve been honest and told me, ‘Look I don’t love you, I don’t want to be with you, I don’t want to be around you…I don’t know [if we can reconcile].”

June said she discovered that Sugar Bear had been putting the phone numbers of women in his phone under code names.

“You know how men do it, they code them with code names,” she said. “They’re sneaky as hell.” June and Sugar Bear never actually married, although they celebrated their love with a camouflage-themed ceremony in May 2013. Their daughter Alana served as the flower girl in the ceremony. In September 2014, the couple called it quits, and June released a statement to the press about their future.

“Sugar Bear and I have decided to take some time apart to figure out some things in our relationship. We are taking things day by day, but regardless of what happens the girls will always be our #1 priority. We want to thank ya’ll for your support,” the statement read.
