Harrison Ford Return As Han Solo In Star Wars 7 Is ‘A Done Deal’

Harrison Ford will return to Star Wars Episode VII as Han Solo, a leading movie blogger has confirmed. Ford’s involvement in the movie is reportedly a “done deal”, with the star returning to the role he played in 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

Ford has worked with director JJ Abrams before, starring in Morning Glory, which the Star Trek and Star Wars helmer produced. Ford’s previous response to whether he’d be involved was that he’d be open to it, Abrams’ involvement seems to have sealed the deal.

The scoop was broken on Fox News Latino by Umberto ‘El Mayimbe’ Gonzalez, of Latino Review, a superhero movie blogger with a record of gaining scoops on the world of superhero films, telling the cable network that it was a “done deal” that Ford would appear.

“It’s official, Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars film,” Gonzalez said.

The details are as yet unknown, although with one of the spin-off movies set to focus on a young Han, there seems a good chance that the two will link in some way, with us perhaps finding out more about the Corellian smuggler.

It will also spark speculation that his original trilogy castmates Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will agree to return too.

Fans of the series will hope that Ford’s return to another one of his classic characters goes slightly better than his reprising of his Indiana Jones character in The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, widely derided by fans and critics alike on its release.
