Grumpy Cat Just Landed a Movie Role: She’s Still Not Happy
Grumpy Cat (real name Tardar Sauce, yep they misspelled it) may have landed a new movie role. The cat is an internet sensation, and has already brought in $100,000 for her family with merchandise and appearances. She just signed a movie deal with the Hollywood producers behind “Paul Blart Mall Cop” and Adam Sandler’s “Jack and Jill”, so obviously it’s going to be terrible, but that was a given.
The producers believe they can build a strong family-based comedy around Grumpy Cat, who is also now the star of a new book, ingeniously titled: “Grumpy Cat: A Grumpy Book” which will launch this October, just in time for you to pick it up for whatever idiot relative you have that might appreciate it for Christmas.
Grumpy Cat even has an agent who has been taking her career from strength to strength so she is no longer just an internet meme. Apparently the agent also looks after several other famous cats (this is a thing?) so they know what they’re doing. Well, at least it’s less annoying that Kim Kardashian, and the cat’s selfies are certainly less irritating. We salute you Grumpy Cat – no need to hide your emotions anymore.
The worst thing about the Grumpy Cat movie? Everything. “Insert Grumpy Cat face here”.
