George Clooney Hilariously Brands Matt Damon a Diva
George Clooney has jokingly branded his ‘Monuments Men’ co-star Matt Damon a diva. George says it was often hard to get the actor to cooperate with filming:
“It was hard to get him out of his trailer sometimes. I don’t like to use the word ‘diva’ and throw it around loosely, but you know.”
George adds that the film was a fun-filled experience because many of the roles were created specifically with some of his closest pals in mind:
“Most of these guys are friends of mine so that made it easier, but we wrote the parts for most of them.”
The actor also hinted that he may soon retire. He said that it may be time in the near future but he’ll use his audience to tell him when he should officially call it quits:
“Every time you can make a movie to tell a story that people don’t know, it’s good. The audience kind of tells you when it’s time to get out from in front of the camera. It’s getting close, I think.”
Bob Balaban who also appears in the film spoke on working with George, stating that the notorious prankster didn’t pull any tricks on set this time around:
”George doesn’t have time to play pranks when he’s directing and acting in the movie – I don’t know how he had time to eat – but he did do one, he pranked Matt Damon. But none of the rest of us had the pleasure of getting embarrassed.”
