George Clooney has invested $30,000 (£15,000) on giving his dashing Hollywood smile a revamp, according to a new report.
The actor’s blinding pearly-white gnashers – on display at the Costume Institute Gala in New York earlier this month – are reportedly the result of extensive dental surgery.
Cosmetic dentist Jonathan Abenaim blames 47-year-old Clooney’s previously crooked smile on a teeth-grinding habit.
He tells Star magazine, “When you grind your teeth, they get shorter. To restore the original look the dentist has to lengthen teeth with porcelain veneers.”
Abenaim claims Clooney has also undergone a ‘smile lift’, a laser treatment on the gums which exposes more of the teeth.
And the dentist approves of the results: “It fills out his face more and makes him look younger.”
