From The Social Network To Lean In: Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg To Release Film
We’ve all heard of the 2010 film The Social Network, a movie based on Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s journey from college computer nerd to internet billionaire. Well there could be another Facebook film as the company’s COO, Sheryl Sandberg, has sealed a deal with Sony Pictures, according to Cnet.
Based on her female empowerment book, Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead, the book has now been licensed to Sony with the proceeds going to the Lean In foundation.

However, unlike The Social Network, Lean In won’t be a biopic of Sheryl’s life. Instead the film will be more about the themes of the book.
Cnet also reports that Sandberg’s writing partner, Nell Scovell, will help to write the narrative of the film.

On the official website, the Lean In organization describes itself as “focused on encouraging women to pursue their ambitions, and changing the conversation from what we can’t do to what we can do.”
