Fifty Shades Of Grey Fan Fave Matt Bomer Reveals Secret Marriage

Matt Bomer, the man 80,000 fans petitioned to play Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, has secretly married his long-term partner Simon Halls.

We’d say congratulations, but they’ve actually been officially united in the eyes of the law since 2011, according to E!.

He and Halls have three sons: six-year-old twins and an eight-year-old.

The 36-year-old actor is playing a gay man dying of AIDS in new movie The Normal Heart, based on the play of the same name by Larry Kramer, who inspired him to take the part.

“I wouldn’t have a lot of the rights I have today if it wasn’t for people like Larry,” he told Details.

“I just wanted to be involved with the project in some capacity. I didn’t care what my part was.”

He also said of the new project that he read the play while in school.

“At that time, I was clueless and obviously in a different place in relation to my sexuality,” he explained.

“I was in romantic relationships with girls—whatever that means at 14. And it completely rocked my world… It’s just an amazing call to arms.”

The part in Fifty Shades did, of course, go to Charlie Hunnam, who later stepped down to make room for Jamie Dornan.
